UPDATE: A reason that you might want to buy the full version from the website, rather than steam is, the full version supports online download of hundreds if not thousands of user created fireworks! Not so with Steam. I can spend that on two good 500gram real life cakes. It's a LOT more money at $99.00, but honestly, if I'm going to invest my time into learning this sim, I want the full set of tools. If you are like me, and LOVE fireworks, I think I'd rather have put my $20 odd dollars towards Creative version. You may want to hold out for the CREATIVE VERSION found on the website and skip steam version if you really want more options. The effects design in FWsim is truly awesome, but the complexity might be a little bit of a turn off to some. Overall, it's pretty cool and worth it I'm sure for most.
